Most of us would probably agree that it’s not very exciting to watch a dog lose its lunch and then eat the results — but did you know that Christians often do the same thing spiritually?
I’m just afraid that I’ll never have that distinct pleasure, that I screwed up my chances some time before I even thought about it, and that because of my foolishness as a child, I’m going to reap the pains later on. Lord knows I want children; he also knows I’ll love them no matter what, so it doesn’t matter if I adopt or not, because life is life whether they are my flesh and blood, whether they came from the womb of my wife or not. I was forgiven more times than the stars are counted in my years, and I was adopted as a vagabond and desolate bastard, into a house of Love and Redemption. As he has forgiven me, so too will I forgive others. As he has adopted me and loved me as his own, so too will I adopt and love others as they were my own sons and daughters. :]

Welp, I just got hit by a ton of bricks.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

I’ve learned a really strong and well-deserved lesson. While God wants you to share His love to others, do not forget, and God forbid, forsake those who love you and matter to you. Obedience with God will lead you. Obedience to God will guide you. Obedience with God will show you how to love others. Loving God will show you how you must love those that you love. Hold nothing back, and you will receive it all. I will trust Him, because He knows exactly what I need, and He will fight for me. I cry abba father.
